If ya wanna stop getting gouged, do 3 things: 1) stop driving so much. 2) buy a smaller vehicle that gets better mileage. 3) maintain and operate that vehicle in such a way that you get the most out of every single gallon of gas(tire pressure, oil change, cruise control, overdrive etc)

A fourth thing to do is to send a *****-letter to Congress. It'll probably get recycled with the other 400k *****-letters they get, but it's a start. If you're feeling eco-minded, send an email instead. Invest your money in ethanol development. Put farmers to work, un-hook america off foreign energy, and tell this administration and their oil-pals to stuff it! LOL

Think about who is in the white house. George Bush and Dick Cheney. Who are George Bush and Dick Cheney? THERE OIL GUYS!!!! The oil companies have there people in the white house so its open season on price gouging.
Doesn't anyone ever notice that whenever we put an oil guy in the white house (first George Bush, second George Bush), gas prices go up and we find ourselves at war with an oil rich country. But I'm sure its all just a big coincidence.
Alls you have to do is think about who has been in charge when all this crap has been happening. DICK cheney, george BUSH, and COLON powel. DICK, BUSH, and COLON. Sounds to me like were all getting SCREWED IN THE BUTT!

What is this 'price gouging' stuff?

When you work, are you gouging your company for all you can get?

When gas stations near a hurricane jack prices, they keep people from topping off, forcing them to go further into their journey for cheaper gas -- SAVING GAS FOR THOSE STILL COMING.

When a gas station sells gas, he has to recover his cost, plus make a profit, plus have enough to cover the cost of the next inbound load -- based on jumpy oil prices.

Easy.

The politicians in POWER are being paid by the oil companies.

Why are oil companies paying 2.1 % in taxes on their profits?

Oil is the Bush Family's middle name!!
