My ex-boyfriend has been spreading false rumors about me lately, and I have no idea how to handle it with grace and dignity. The only solution I have is to just ignore it. What should I do?

My ex-wife tried this with me, I ignored it! Eventually they give up if you don't fire back. You already answered your own question, grace and dignity, don't change to huge qualities that are hard to find! You know they are false only the truth should hurt! Just be yourself, don't change they try to make you miserable because they made the mistake!

U know what i seen a court case where a woman won. An ex spreaded roomers that she had aids and so forth and she brought proof that she didnt and won money. If it's nto that serious, iggy him. And tell people, wow he must really miss me to keep me in his thoughts. I mean it's like 3rd grade when a guy is mean to u and u find out later its only cause he likes u so much lol

That is very mean of him to do this to you, you must feel sad, but he is the one at fault, your true friends will know that he is lying. My ex did this to me and they knew what he was like and knew me, and ignored his comments, so even though he is doing this he cant hurt you only himselft, and he is doing this because he feels hurt from not being with you still, and good thing you are not together still. You will get through this, you are a good person, his slander will come unstuck.

Just because someone says something doesn't mean it's true - so don't even worry about it. You can try confronting him about it, but he probably wants you to do that - then he will know that what he's been doing has been getting to you. Just ignore him and if people ask you then tell them the truth - he will eventually get tired and move on.

You're doing exactly what I would be doing. Don't stoop down to his level and waste your time correcting him. If people know you well enough and like you, they shouldn't be persuaded by his false accusations. Believe me, it will come back and bite him in the end.

I think just ignore it. You are better then that. If you respond thats what he wants. He wants to get under your skin. If you just act like you can live without him and he doesn't exist, he will find somebody else to annoy.

Ignoring the best thing you can do, don't show anger or upset and then he'll quit later..Good Luck!

Ignore gossip & exboyfriends, you know the truth & no one else matters, because they are not suppose to judge you anyway !

ignore, but be careful... he's hurt and wants to make you look bad.... just smile when you see him and ask... Does that make you feel better? If not it sure makes me feel better to know that you still care... and live it at that.

Just keep on doing what you are doing and ignore him. Once he thinks that it doesn't bother you, he will quit.
