Confessions of a Shopaholic... haha, only kidding... seriously, I think in terms of plot and style, my favourite work of fiction would have to be The Lord of the Rings. Non-fiction: The Keys to Avalon

Have you read McAnthony's Wars by Michael Shina Crown? Oh...that's the best book ever I've read. Full of suspense, intriguing, highly entertaining. Though the author is a new one, his book is not yet in most stores but you can get a copy from amazon.com, publishamerica.com or any online store fast and join the league. If you regret reading this book, call me bump.

Count of Montecristo by Alexander Dumas. Its about a young French sailor who was unjustly imprisoned for 14 years before he escapes and ultimately takes revenge on his enemies. The author did a great job describing the emotions of the prisoner.Disbelief, denial, self pity, madness, apathy and finally hope.

I'd have to say War and Peace by Tolstoy, because:1. It teaches you so much about Russian culture and history. 2. It is by Tolstoy who is an amazing author and 3. It's so long that if you read the whole thing your I.Q. is sure to raise a few points.

The Bible is the best selling. I'm sure the Tora and Koran are right up there. To me, not a book, but the Constitution is the best read in this country.

The Bible? Please people. Have you ever actually read the Bible? While it is very important and the foundation of 1/2 of the world's religious beliefs, it is a very dull book when taken in its entirety.
My choices:
The Sound and the Fury
or
The Odyssey

Origin of Species. Charles Darwin. It brought light to a world filled with dark religious superstition. Spelled the beginning of the end for the creator myth.
