Everyday nausea, especially in the morning. Breast tenderness. Acne on my stomach. Bloated belly. Last period was abnormal. I've taken 2 urine tests and even went to planned parenthood where I got another urine test. All negative. Still the symptoms are here. However, the three tests were all administered 1-2 weeks after the abnormal period. Was it too soon to tell or is are the birth control pills skewing the results of the tests?

I have not been faithful in taking my pills. I've even taken antibiotics last month. I have taken bc pills for 10yrs now. And I do have a daughter. So I know all of the dos and don'ts but I don't know how to tell if you're pregnant while you're STILL taking bc pills. Are the signs different than when you're not taking the pills? Do you still have a period if you're pregnant and taking bc pills?

Very good question. Normally the urine tests (which are very accurate) will be correct about 2 weeks after the "abnormal" period. A blood test at this point is not likely to be more accurate. If you were still on your birth control, and you were 2 weeks into the pack, it is unlikely that the pills will have skewed the results. you are better off going to see your doctor if you still have the symptoms and negative tests.

If you have taken the pills faithfully then you are most likely not pregnant. Are you sure you are not ovulating, because a lot of those symptoms also can indicate that. As for the bloated stomach, I've never heard of a woman showing so early in a pregnancy because it usually takes a few months. But I also agree with the others, take the blood test if you are really worried about it. Also I've never heard of someone having acne on their stomach... but I guess for everyone it's different.

1-2 weeks after a period is too soon to tell, and i am talking from experience as I have a child myself and i went through the same as you, but the only difference was that i was not on birth control pills. It could be the pill screwing your periods around but you do have the exact same symptoms as i did when i was pregnant.
I hope you get the answer you were hoping for.

Go back to Planned Parenthood and ask for a blood test. But, odds are if two tests came back negative your not pregnant.

first of all, how long have you been on the pill? if it is just recent it could be side effects of the pill or it you were taking any other kinds of medicine, it could of made the pill not effect. if you are pregnant you can have symptoms right away but if your test is negative then i don't think you are pregnant.

the best is a blood test many times the OTC tests are not accurate. A blood test done at your local health dept or at your doctors office can measure your hormone levels.
