I think one way to stop wars...
Make the party who wants war,
PAY for it and those who don't
can keep their money...

How many Republicans would
gladly donate their weekly paychecks
to pay for Bush's wars?

"If you honestly think a liberal president would be doing anything different in office right now they you need to understand our system better."

If that is the case, then there is no point to the 2-party system. If both parties will do the same thing, and have no difference of opinion, doesn't that make this essentially a dictatorship while giving the illusion of a republic to the voters?

As far as having a different opinion splitting the country, I think this country does have a cultural divide. Is the way to solve it is to have the Democrats agree with the Republicans? For one thing, why shouldn't it be the other way around - that Republicans should align themselves with Democrats to promote national unity? However, I don't believe it should be either. There should be opposing viewpoints, and voters can decide which philosophy they think is the best one, whether it is for or against the war.

The best hope for stopping the war is to vote the people out of office that started the war. I don't think that making Republicans pay will stop it, and it will only decrease revenue for the war. It won't stop the war, it will only put us further into debt.

You already are!!

To a tune of $8,375,365,051,008.48!

As I write this the current debt for Iraq is $288,735,600,931.00

Military Fatalities: By Time Period News Current Time in Baghdad: 4:37:52 AM

2,726 body bags sent home to families! I can't put a cost on that!

I don't know who should pay for it, but Bush should not be given a pension and he should be impeached and removed!

Melody, Clinton was in office 8 years and he never started a war over lies and oil.

You need to get a grasp. If Bush had not been elected, we would not be in Iraq right now!!!

It's funny, Repubs don't EVER want to be accountable for anything, and it will be a cold day in hell before they give any money for anything, unless they can write it off. That's why they bring their old clothes to the Salvation Army and jack up the price of them for tax purposes, claiming more than they paid for them!

And Jeffy, what right wing rag you reading?
We didn't have an 8.3 Trillion dollar deficit.
We had a great economy and a balanced budget,
We had a great foreign and domestic policy!

What has Bush given you besides 2 tax cuts for the wealthy?

Body bags and DEBT!! I wouldn't being doing any comparisons right now if I were you!

Um, no...
...and by the way, when did it become 'Bush's War'? I seem to recall a 'coalition' of countries engaged in this? (nice use of capitalization for emphasis... "Warmongers" lol...) Why is it that the solution, according to you is to simply leave? Do you think that for one minute that by 'letting bygones be bygones' that we won't have the threat of yet another 9-11 in the future?

@The Rebel - No one wants war, and if Oil Execs are behind this, why am I still paying $2.75 a gallon?

I'd just like everyone to know that I have battered down nicolasraage very easily. He is yapping about how liberals can't tink for themselves.

I got fed up with his schoolyard tactics, in a message pointing out that he was, like a kindergartener, making up stories about others so they wouldn't tease him about what he is doing (Lying!!).

He replied asking me what I hate about Ann Coulter.

I replied saying how well he changed the subject but humored him with a few solid reasons Ann is a *****.

He replied, and said that if he didn't answer the question, then my question was worded poorly. I had at no point asked a question.

I told him this in an email and he responded yelling "what the he** are you talking about", which was absolutely inapplicable in the situation.

If you are looking for a good laugh, I recommend trying this. It is great fun.

Great idea! They carry on about all the money put back into our own society- i.e., social programs for the poor- yet they don't mind dumping billions of dollars into a senseless war with no end in sight.

Typical conservative hypocrites- okay to kill Iraqis, destroy their towns, and then what? Pay more and more money to rebuild it all? Haven't we been there before? With his daddy?

Maybe this is the idea- hit them in their precious pocketbook, and they'll wake up and realize we need to get out of Iraq!

In that case, then the people who pay for the war, should be the ones who reap the benefits. By making a statement like this, you're taking the country and splitting it apart.

Republican Americans did not send anyone to war. The congress and Bush unilaterally started the war. I am a Republican and I gave no one permission to send anyone to war.
Put the blame wher it belongs...Bush started it and congress approved it and is wasting my taxes to pay for it.
Only a few Republicans want this war. They are oil company executives and politicians.

Good point, but the Democrats haven't come up with a single person who has real leadership abilities in at least 20 yrs. Hillary Clinton?? Give me a break. She'd sell her mom to the Taliban for a few votes.
