I would go with a PC for basice musice, wireless internet and games. Macbooks are nice, but are a bit more for advance stuff. To save money I would go with a Dell or HP laptop for about 500-600 dollars with no less than 512MB of RAM

I think Dell and Hewlett Packard are good ones. My brother got HP laptop for games. I can't remember what it was that makes the laptop able to cope with games but he had to get a laptop that could cope with games as far as I know a lot of laptops aren't made for games. My laptop can't take all games I think might be u need one with a RAM or processor speed or something not sure. I suggest u go to some where like PC world and ask them what laptop can handle games.

HP is the best that I have ever come across. I am in the field and I never come across problems with them. Compaq has tons of problems. Dells are okay, but HP goes forever. They may be a little expensive, but, you get a nice laptop.

COMPAQ
I have friends who have gone through one computer after another, until they bought a Compaq.
I never buy any computer, desktop/laptop that is not a COMPAQ. hp now owns COMPAQ, but it means they also bought their hardware. So I still see it as a trustworthy brand.
Canon pinters and Canon all-in-one printers/scanner...etc. are great.
all-in-one Brothers brand are also good, and their less expensive then Canon
