they only represent around 5% of the U.S.? Why not have different Ethnic Groups instead?

It is a trend. My only complaint is that they show them in such a silly way, or they can't stop referring to their sexual preferences. I burned out on Will and Grace because it was always jokes about gay sex. If I were gay I would be offended at the way their sexuality is exploited. Give them a break, they are more than objects of sex.

It's a lot more than 5%. Check out the link and see what you think... the results of Kinsey's work in the 40s and 50s shows a number greater than that... and more than likely people still felt uncomfortable responding honesty in some cases.
And in other news, stop worrying about how many gay people are on television. If you are somehow offended, watch something else.

Because there is a huge agenda to try to get Gay views accepted by the general public. So now they through a gay person into everything that will be seen by millions on tv.

Because Gays are FUNNY! They're exagerated version of woman its just plain ol' FUNNY.... They're DRAMATIC, they're FLAMBOYANT, and they're UNPREDICTABLE! And the television industry is all about the mighty dollar$$$$$. Sex sells, and so do homosexuality, it's life... deal with it! And for the record gays are in all ethnic groups, even the ones that u mentioned, so I guess u already have what u want, ur just blind by their sexuality.

no offense but do u have sumthing against gay people. i'm not gay but i do have gay friends. i'm just asking ok...i'm not trying to start a net-fight or anything. i don't know why they always have gay people on the shows...maybe it's cuz they always have that one person on the show who is homophobic and that causes drama...which leads to great tv. maybe they just want better ratings. i think they should put more middle easterns on the shows just because you don't see a lot of them on t.v. these days.

Studies by "pro-gay" groups are actually estimating 0.4% of the population is gay, including those who haven't come out of the closet yet. You don't need to believe me, just look it up.

im sure there is more gay people in this world than 5%........they just havent came out.......but to answer your question.....Gay people are real and for the longest time it was forbiden for gay people to even exist ...i say its a cool way of celebrating
