Please! help me write this LETTERS?

Question

I am newly made a secretary of a Christain Youths organisation. I comes that I have to write two letters,
1. To the Parish Priest telling him to release the youths fund to enable us buy musical instruments.

have, in addition, been asked to contact you with a request that some of these funds should be released for the purchase of musical instuments for our members. We feel that these will make a big contribution to what we trying to do for our youth.
We have estimated that the cost of instruments will be ......and we are requesting the sum of......
