The PROOF that there is no God
is simple.

It has two steps.

Step 1: Prove the fact that there is no God.

Step 2: Challenge anyone who disagrees to disprove the fact that there is no God.

Period.

To agnostic: Yes, there is no God.
And yes, there is a good scientific
explanation for what preceded the
Big Bang.
And no, it is not just a small difference in opinion.
It is huge.
And yes, I can whistle.

athestic much?
i'm agnostic myself
some people have faith in their religion and some people don't, it's like some people can whistle, some people learn, and some people can't whistle
if you're about proving and disproving that there is no god you might have a scientific reason for the world starting like, i dont know, the big bang.
in any case what ever started everything had to be there already so that needed to be started. it could be like a big chain or something
how does anything, anything?

i think it might be a tad rude to upset people over a very small yet huge difference in belief

No, but I can present evidence. By the way, you assume that "There is no God" is a fact, when, by the nature of your question, you also assume that the statement is in dispute.

The link below has, among other research, a "fine tuning for human life" which outlines dozens of characteristics of earth and the universe, ALL of which must be satisfied in order to make any life possible on this planet. The hypothesis is that the odds of life developing by chance is so rare, that there must have been some intervention to make it happen.

Most of this is astronomy stuff, but there is biological and geological evidence for a God as well. Evolution fails to explain the fossil record: that new species did not appear gradually over time (like evolution suggests) but appeared in quick events such as the "Pre Cambrian Explosion".

It also fails to explain complex structures in even the simplest of bacteria that could not have developed piece by piece (as the development of individual pieces would not by themselves promote survival, as demanded by evolution).

There is not a "Proof" of the existence of God. But there is compelling evidence that the earth and universe both had a designer.

Here's an idea. Study a science to it's fullest, and see if over time the evidence points more toward a God or away from a God. There are a lot of scientists who are surprised by the "divine consequences" of their findings.

The burden of proving that it is a fact is on the side of the person asserting that it is a fact - you in this case. As for me, I say there is no proof there is a God, and no *evidence* pointing to the existence of one. So there is no reason to assume that there is a God. But then faith is not reasonable. I don't think one ought to respect other people's faiths, but rather their right to be unreasonable - even if so unreasonable as to *believe*.

EDIT:

I meant "no proof there is NO God". Your "fact" is a mere assertion. However, so is what Sean Chasworth says:

"There is not a "Proof" of the existence of God. But there is compelling evidence that the earth and universe both had a designer."

I say there is no proof for the non-existence of God, but neither is there any evidence for the existence of one. The fact that so many scientists are Christians proves that they, too, are only human, all too human (i.e., *fallible*). As for myself, I metaphorise existence as a mad God. No distinction between "Creator" and "Creation" there: I say the universe is a mad God dancing.

I don't have to disprove it, the Bible does. The Bible is the most accurate book in th world, it foretold things that would happen 200 years in advance, it gave names to people years before they were born, it prophesied destruction of cities and lands long before they ever happened. Man could not foretell these things, only God could. All of the creations on the Earth are too unique to have evolved from one another or just banged into place by an explosion, we are all wonderfully made and the only one that created us and everything to come in the future is God.

Well, technically there is no proof of either his existence or non-existence...

Why can't we just let crazies be crazy and believe in what they want?

P.S. The big bang THEORY cannot be put forward as proof of God's non-existence, nor can what people have done in his name...

Remember science is nothing more than a human representative of nature and it's workings, what's stopping "The big bang" from being God's work?

First the is no fact to prove there isn't a God. but if you look at the numbers, people believing in a superior being (God) the overwhelming consenus is the is one. The people that don't believe in a superior being is almost non existent persentage wise on this earth.

Try to prove a negative. I dare you.

The impossible is still possible.

Any reasoning you could give as to exactly why God doesn't exist could be flawed. There "COULD" be an evil demon making you believe 2+2=4 when it really =5.

First, you cannot say with certainty that is a "fact."
Secondly, you are only stating an opinion of YOURS.
Third, you wasted your time asking this question, as you are well-aware that no living being can prove whether or not God exists--some people have faith, and other's don't.

Sorry bud, I don't 'believe', but even I know you can't conclusively prove it either way!
Stop stirring it up and ask a genuine, thought-provoking question, unless of course you only have the brains to bash...?
(then again....you DO add evidence to the theory of evolution-Neanderthal man in 2006, maybe?)

*************

I retract my statement with regards to a thought provoking question, but 'Zeno's paradoxes' are hardly PROOF, are they!? Most, if not all, of them make presumptions, not factual assertions, do they not?(btw, thanks for increasing my knowledge!)

:D
