assuming that they were were they are most comfortable fighting,in the alleys,no "super ray guns" hiding under piles of trash,or "calling on freinds".........just a straight brawl in the abandoned back alleys of NY.

I would say spawn,although they both do very similar things:
tentacles and webs/chains
necroplasma/venom (or whatever that green stuff is venom can shoot)
wall crawling.....spawn can too
I think venoms got it in the bag where pure strength goes,but in the end,after a long and tiresome battle,spawn will win.
I know you said no calling on freinds but adding carnage to venoms team might make it a better fight,I dont know if that would tip the scales to far in the other direction though....

Spawn would definitely win. However, I don't think that it would be an easy fight. Venom is like a downgraded version of Spawn when you look at Venom's powers. However, when you have an alien fighting the General of Hell's army, I don't think the alien stands a chance.

Spawn because after killing malebolgia, he became the ruler of hell itself. In the comics, when he dies, he just becomes reborn and fully regenerated in hell and can come back to kick more ***. He can only die in one place in a small alley in new york city. So if goku can take him into that alley and eventually wear down the power of hell, then he may be beatable.

Spawn. His powers are supernatural in nature. Venom's, while alien, are finite. Spawn would win in the end.

I think it would be Venom coz he is strong and at the same time he possesses more ability than spawn IMO..

Spawn would win and heres why...Spawn is from hell and has demonic powers and can use fire...Vemon hates fire and that and sound can hurt Vemon...Sooo let me sum this Demon from hell, hell is full of fire ...fire = Vemon is toast.
