Do you have a juicer??? The fastest and healthiest way to drop a quick 30 is to do juice...but not just any juice. The healthy way is to juice your veggies with apple juice for sweetner, if you don't care for veggies. By veggies I'm talking broccoli, green leafy, carrots, cauliflower and those that will work as antioxidents to get the poisons from any junk foods out of the blood. You will be surprised how satisfying these juices are. But use fresh veggies along with avacados, and just peal, remove the center pit and put them into the juicer. The same goes for fruits, especially the 'berry' family. Blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and throw in some cherries. Put in Kiwi fruit, melon, watermelon as well, and any other frutis you like, including apples.
Then stick with chicken and fish, eating little to no beef products and if you do, just a small quantity of lean steak. Stay away from pork products. Beans of various kinds put together replicate the same protien you would get from red meat. Bread is okay, but don't use the ones with processed sugar in them and sick with the whole grains. Believe me, you'll feel like a different person.

Dropping thirty pounds fast is extremely dangerous. I do not recommend you drop thirty pounds unless you have thirty weeks to do so. Your body will do what it evolved to do if you try to drop thirty pounds, and that is:
A) drop your metabolism in order to retain as much 'energy' in muscle and fat as possible.
B) hold on to as much fat as possible (because it contains more energy, 9 calories/g) and drop as much muscle as possible because muscle is metabolically expensive and relatively energy poor (4 calories/g)
C) regain as much fat as possible when you are done losing this weight because your body fears it may have to go through another 'starvation' of losing so much weight at once!
Please, do not attempt this. Instead, set a reasonable goal (unless you have 20 or 30 weeks before your trip). People will notice 5-10lbs, and they will commend your effort which should propel you to drop the other 20-25lbs! Let your friends in on your efforts and I know they'll help you out too!
