Should pedophiles be publicly, executed?

Well first off, your name is GODLUVSUK which to me shows that you must have some belief in God and that you follow religion, and being that you must be a very intelligent person then you would know that although they are sinners we cannot judge them. And killing them would make us murderers...which is also a sin...I think what we need to do is keep them in Jail and give them years and years and years of councing...Now if you were asking the question because you are infact a pedophile and you are scared of being executed..then I would say you have nothing to worry about.

It is hard to answer this question with any level of objectivity because I despise the sick bastards that would violate a child. We must remember that we need a deterent and consequences to their perveted action.

Perhaps castration and branding so that wherever they go everyone knows their nature? Incarceration may be too big a burden on tax payers money.

Though on the flip side, we might have a bit of a problem proving some of those cases. But in the situation of a man caught red-handed raping a child or busted beyond the shadow of a doubt in their murder, then I think these would be far greater deterents than just mere death.

i don't agree with the death penalty at all ,,, especially with all the news of innocent people being convicted and now proven innocent with DNA and other advanced tests now ,,,

but i definately do think they should b kept in prison for life ,,, it is a fact that they almost always reoffend and by the time they r caught have most likely abused more than 10 other chldren ,,,

i watched an interview on oprah with sex offenders and a pedophile speaking said that even if he was castrated he would still have fingers and a mouth and that he was sexually aroused by children ,,, he always had been and always would b ,,, he was begging to b executed ,,,

i honestly don't think they can b rehabilitated ,,,

Its not illegal to be a pedophile. It is quite lawful to be a pedophile, as long as one does not physically engage in sexual acts with a minor below the age of consent.

By law it is only when an adult engage in sexual activity with a minor below the age of consent, that is illegal and carry heavy sentences, typically several years to life in prison.

In addition I do not believe in the death penalty, and reside in a state that have abolished the death penalty many years ago.

So in short, the answer is no.

no no and no....killing someone for comitting a crime solves nothing. i mean if the pedophile is dead, will it help any of the kids that were molested? will it help the parents of these kids feel any less guilty for letting their kid get into that situation in the first place? i dont think so.

i do, however think that pedophiles should be punished.

and i think there should be a special place in hell for them... especially priests who are child molesters. a priest who molests a child is worse than anyone elsefor a whole bunch of reasons.

It would suck to be publicly executed for a crime you didn't commit. A lot of innocent people are railroaded through the US legal system, it's a dirty little secret.

are we talking a 16 yr old with a teacher? or a 5 yr old with a twisted uncle?
i think in the case like twisted uncle, immediate execution would be the only way to ensure he or she never did it again. older kids tend to experiment, not always granted, but the case would definitely take looking into.

executing them is too good for them. they should be put in a room where they cant hurt themselves with a big loud ticking clock up high where they cant reach it and every hour on the hour the door will open and a few big guys come in and beat the **** out of them for 5 mins. this should continue for the rest of their lives

No, you've got the right idea, but the wrong concept. Lets use them for experiments instead of animals. We'd get much better results since they're more like humans (physically) than any of the furry animals.
