Unfortunantely there isn't a whole lot of research abvailable about the subject, but it is important to TRY to relax. I know that isn't always possible (I'm 39 weeks pregnant, I have a 3 year old, and I'm a single parent). However stress during pregnancy has been linked to birth deffects and premature labor.

There have been tests that show that the cortisol (stress hormone) in your body directly effects the cortisol in your childs body through the womb for the rest of thier life. This means if you are stressed and have high cortisol levels he too will be stressed and have high cortisol levels for the rest of his life. They found this in holocaust victims and 9/11 survivors with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

baby probably thinks crying alot is normal for you, therefore she/ he cries alot too. If you are stressed and crying alot please go see your doctor and get some antidepressants. A happy mommy makes a happy baby......
