Should I buy Brokeback Mountain on fullscreen or widescreen? I know you get to see a little more on the top and bottom with fullscreen. But with widescreen it's the way the director meant for it to be seen and you see more on the sides. Anyone have any answers?

Absolutely widescreen. So much of the movie is set against stunning landscapes, it would be tragic to lose it.

Widescreen! :)

Actually, fullscreen cuts off the sides, you don't see more on the top and bottom. I say buy it in widescreen, so you get the full picture. Not only is it the directors vision, the film has some really spectacular vistas to which only widescreen could do justice.

Widescreen for sure.

Widescreen is how the movie is filmed, the way the director wants for you to see their work.

Full screen loses some of the shots.

I would suggest pick up the format that will be best viewed on your TV.
If you have regular TV then buy Full Screen
and if you have Large TVs with 16:9 screen ratios, then go with Wide Screen.

I hate widescreen, go for full screen with all movies!

Absolutely full screen!!! I hate wide screen, it's like you're missing some of the movie.
