Its looking bleak for the boys in hot-lanta but the Braves always plays better after the all star game.

The past couple years they've been in deep water until about this time of year when they get hot and everybody else in the NL East cools off. But unfortunately we're not seeing that trend this year. The Mets are hot, and the Braves... aren't, to say the least. Plus... Leo's gone, Braves pitching sucks, most of the big bats have been signed away... nope, not this time.

And in 1994 (the middle of the streak), the Braves actually did not lead the NL East; the Expos did. Of course, that was the year of the strike took place and that wasn't recorded because the season was not played all the way through. So that's one of those records that deserves an aserisk by it.

It doesn't look good right now, BUT there is a long way to go, and the Braves usually find a way to put together enough wins to capture the divisional title. I see no reason why it won't be the same this year, especially if they go out and get a quality closer for their bullpen. They have a great manager, a solid hitting lineup, and an adequate pitching staff. Look for them to improve as the season progresses, and then look for them at the top of their division in late September.

Go BRAVES!!!

sorry, i'm a mets fan. in the beginning of the season i was sure the braves were going to do it again, but the way its looking right now, im doubting that. they need desperately to acquire some better relievers and a quality closer. their line up is semi-solid, but their hitters are very streaky. if they dont pull it together by the all star break i dont know what will happen to them. i think that it will be a very tight race between the phils, them, and the mets in september. we'll just have to wait and see!

No. The Mets have too much talent this year and they are currently playing on all cylinders.

The reign of Bobby Cox is nearing the end.
