It almost looks like razor burn, but it dosen't hurt or anything like that. I have changed for shaving cream to gel, different razors, and even began adding lotion to my regiment (and that makes it burn a bit). Is there anyone out there who can help me to get rid of these bumps so I can stop feeling self-conscience when I wear shorts?!

i get the same thing if it happens in the summer it could be heat rash. but if it happens all year you probably have super sensitive skin. so this is what i do. i use Gillette sensitive skin gel with a Venus razor. after I'm done i put an anti itch cream on my legs, then put on alittle baby powder.

The lotion could actually irritate it more, I think it might depend on how much longer after shaving. It could be the hairs actually beginning to come back out, exfoliate really well every day, try soaking in a warm bath for a while to soften the skin and hair before shaving. other than that I dont know what to tell you.

It may be the razor you are using. I found all razors blades are the not the same. I was having the same issue so I don't use razors at all. I use stuff like Nair.... the hair doesn't grow back as fast!

Hmm...I've never xperienced this but i have heard this because of the direction u shave in...You are supposed to shave in the direction of the hair growth, not against it...like for your legs u should from up to down..not down to up...Hope this helps

Try not using any shaving cream or gel.. Maybe you're allergic to something in them.. Try just using bar soap and warm water... That's all I use...

They are infected hairs... maybe you just started shaving or maybe you are just highly sensitive. You should ask a doctor. they are normal so don't worry, but if you are that self concious then you should ask.

Don't sweat the small stuff LOL!

I have occassionaly had this problem myself. For me it was ingrown hairs. The US Military recognizes that many Afro-Americans suffer from this and can get a doctor's excuse to not shave.
