it depends on what you enjoy :

if you like the beach, go to Boracay (highly recommended), Palawan, Panglao in Bohol or Puerto Galera. if youre coming from Manila, the best way to go there is by plane except Galera where you can get a bus ride to Batangas port & then get a ferry going to the beach.

if you like the mountains & some adventure (trekking & spelunking) Sagada in Montain Province is a very cool place. you will be needing a bus ride from Manila to Baguio (5 hrs) and another 5 hr mini bus ride through zigzag roads from Baguio to Sagada.

if you like shopping & the night life, Makati, Malate, Alabang & Libis in Quezon City are the spots to be. they are within the metropolis so a jeepney (if you are on a tight budget) or a cab ride will do.

if you just wanna chill out, theres Tagaytgay for you. it will take you around 3 hrs car ride from Manila.

you can also try out the other places they mentioned like Baguio, Cebu.

Hi, what you can do is to check out the available tour packages from the hotel you are at and just go. Around Manila are some scenic places, so you can take your time and decide.

Out of Manila, Baguio is a nice mountain resort towards the north. It is cheap to take the bus there. It has a nice cool climate and native products on sale. Nice to relax for a few days.

There are other scenic places further up north and you can grab a tour package whuile you are in Baguio. Should be enjoyable for you.

Places in the Luzon, you can get around by bus. Just don't flash too much cash when you are paying for stuff and what. You never know who can be watching you.

Outside Luzon, Cebu is a nice beach resort location. Great for a few days. You can take some time to find out what places are nice to visit. Ask the hotel staff, I am sure they can help you.

Philippines is divided into 3 major islands (Luzon,Visayas,Mindanao). At Luzon you can go [by bus] to Manila (the capital city) at other cities. Baguio (the summer capital), Tagaytay (where you can see the Taal volcano-the smallest in the world), Bicol (where the volcano with the perfect cone is), Laguna (for hot springs and the Pagsanjan falls), [by ferry] Corrigidor (the historic place where world war 2 took place, well aside from pearl harbour) and [by planeand/or bus] beaches like Puerto Princesa, El Nido, Hundred Island and Batangas. At Visayas, [by plane] you can go to a lot of beaches like Boracay, Cebu, Buhol (where the chocolate hills are). At Mindanao [by plane] you can go to Magellan's cross, Davao and a lot more. From Manila, hop a flight to Cebu Island. It is really beautiful, has great casinos, resorts and restaurants. You can take a jeepney all around Manila to see the sights. A lot of the hotels also have or can arrange shuttles or car service, just ask the concierge.

Cebu and Bagiou is the best place. To go to Bagiou u can take bus frm manila, the center city. And to go to Cebu u can take plane, or Ship/Boat. But if u really dont have budget for that ... just try to swim .lol is the best sport and economic one lol .....
