someting i'd really love to do-become a broadcast journalist but i really want to gain another perspective on opinions and views rather then what i just see and hear in England and so i would love to study and work in another Country, preferably Tunisia (just went there a few months ago and loved it) but do u think i could do that and then come back and actually get into a good Uni? How much would it cost for me to rent an apartment there?

Hmmm.

Friend of mine was devoted to idea of being a journalist. Got his first job, then an oil disaster killed 170 people and he was sent to doorstep their families. He ditched journalism.

Broadcast journalism different, sure.

The gap in the market: a journalist (broadcast or otherwise) who knows sh1t. Go get under the skin of some area of knowledge or life - get thoroughly into it - while you follow your plan. Then, when you're on camera, you'll have something worthwhile to say. That will make you different.
