Do you mean actions or people. Your conscience informs you on the former, as well as laws, rules, commandments, etc. Your values are shaped by what you choose to believe, by the info you read or hear, by social norms or pressures, but you are responsible for your actions, right or wrong.
As far as people, you will usually think people are righteous who believe similarly to you and share your values and ethics, whereas you will think people are wrong who do/say things you find offensive or annoying.
If you're looking for answers on how to choose what to believe, how to judge the character of a person or persons, or how to find people whose beliefs/values you can relate to and benefit from - some places to start are a local church where you know someone, philosophy books from your library, the Bible esp. the 4 Gospels and Romans, and online resources.

It's wrong cuz they said so. Ha! I am not a big advocate of the idea of being considered "wrong" because a particular group of people have labeled it to be so. I think it's wrong when love/peace/respect aren't involved. To each their own but I think that would be a good start....

Just ask them - the righteous always say they are. Of course, "I was wrong" is almost as hard to say as "I'm sorry."
