Not sure if Im putting it in too much sunlight, although its not that bright where I have it. The stalk is starting to turn a little brown at the edges but its growing new leaves. Does it have too much water? Not enough water? Should I move it from the window? Does the artificial light dry it out? Any info would be great. Email me if youd like with your answers. :) Thank you!!

My lucky bamboo had the same problem even though it was in bright indirect light. I decided to plant it in potting soil, in a self draining pot, and it has never looked better. It is not growing any faster than it would in the water and for the first time, it's actually turned into a deep healthy green color instead of the washed out pale green color it used to be. As for watering, It doesn't need anything special as long as the soil doesn't dry out. I only water mine once every two weeks, average. I don't know if its lucky but it sure seems a lot happier.

Lucky bamboo doesn't like direct lighting, but indirect. Put it to the side of the window, like next to it but not on the window sill. Also when the plant gets new leaves it puts a slight strain on the plant, it may be that it's just this process, and there's nothing you can do but let it develop. DO NOT however get any water on the cut tip at the top, it will cause your bamboo to get bacteria, and it will die. They need a water change at least every 2 weeks. It uses the nutrients in the water to survive. There is a fertilizer that you can get also, called Green Green. You mix it up in a gallon batch and use that for the water changes. Good luck with Lucky!!

They do not like very much sunlight at all. It is better to keep them away from the windows. In fact they can survive without any natural light at all.

from what i know, they need little to no sunlight. and they don't need to be watered that often either. too much watering will only drown them.
