Without a doubt, the Shawshank Redemption starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. It had a great message and drama that kept you on the edge of your seat. It would have won many Oscars any other year, but it went up against Forrest Gump and that was stiff competition. But I still feel Shawshank is the best movie of all time. Also, on imdb.com the Shawshank Redemption was voted #2 of all time behind the godfather.

The best movie of all time must be a hit when it was shown and still a hit up to this time and in the future. So, I am guessing...
Star Wars, The Godfather, Gone with the Wind, Lord of the Rings, Casablanca, Lord of the Rings, Schindler's List, Taxi Driver, Fight Club, Forrest Gump, etc.

AN AMERICAN HUNTING
Starring Donald Sutherland, Sissy Spacek, Rachel Hurd-Wood, James D'Arcy, Matthew Marsh, Thom Fell, Sam Alexander, and Gaye Brown
An American Haunting is based on true events documented by the State of Tennessee. Between the years 1818-1820, the Bell Family of Red River, Tennessee was visited by an unknown, unseen presence that terrorized the family. To date, it is the only recorded case in American history where a spirit of entity has caused the death of a human being. (After Dark Films)
