Metallica is my favorite.. I love almost all music, but Metallica speaks to your soul... songs like Holier Than Thou and My Friend of Misery mark everyday life so well and remind me of myself and others I know. Also, as time has progressed they have proven that they have staying power and are willing to try new things as well as the old "crowd-pleasers" when so many others get stuck in a rut and never give a thought to the changing times.

My favorite metal band is Cradle of Filth.
The reason is the rhythm and my father use to be in the band

i like any kind of music as long as it sounds good but metal songs usualy have sucky lyrics or very stupid music (you need to play an instrument to undestand).
for example: the bass player do nothing (theres a joke about it that only those who play an instrument can understand)
the guitar is somethign like F C D G, solo(fast playing), F F Dm G END. (if someone play the guitar fast it doesnt make him good artist, thats only technique)
the bass do all the time 'do re fa do re fa"
good music is funk for example RHCP (old songs, the new rock songs suck).

Because Chuck wrote some of the best death metal ever created and it has yet to be topped. I could listen to Symbolic all day.
