So I've heard that if you take too much Advil, it can have a negative effect on your body. How much do you have to take for these effects to occur, and what are they exactly?

Advil, Alleve and all other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that reduce pain can lead to ulcers when taken long term.

Always consult with your doctor when taking medicine for prolonged periods of time.

Gastritus (SP?) I took like 20 advils a day for a few months and got it. Throwing up, pain in my tummy. The gross part is that it takes a long time to heal. I stopped taking it almost a year ago and sometimes it still hurts. Take Tylenol

any medication taken in excess can cause liver problems if you are takin advil for chronic pain maybe talking to ur Dr he can give you an anti inflammatory that lasts longer so that you dont have to take so frequently

Advil (ibuprofen) can affect your kidneys, Tylenol can affect your liver. Best thing to do is take as label directs.
