Fat your skin being streached due to weight gain or growth.
Areas of the skin that are stretched often found on the abdomen, breasts, buttocks and legs.
About half of pregnant women will develop these pink or reddish streaks on their breasts, hips, or abdomen sometime during pregnancy as elastic fibers stretch and rupture in their skin. While stretch marks can't be prevented, they will fade slowly after delivery.

Stretch marks can be from alot of things. They can be from a pregnancy. Or maybe you could have gained weight and then lost it. I think stretch marks are when your skin gets irritated from expanding and contracting.

stretch marks happen when one area of skin is stretched, and then that area bacomes no longer stretched. The marks come from the where the stretch never wnet back to normal. either that or the skin was over extended...

Having a baby or obesity... if you are not obese or have not had any kids, then ask a doctor. Im sure there is another reason that we don't know about for having stretch marks!

Your skin stretches and then shrinks. Stretch marks are the spots where the skin is worn out and can't shrink back to normal.

It's a kind of scarring; the collagen in the skin reforms in a lumpy sort of way when the skin stretches. It is not reversible.

I've heard stretch marks are usually from being pregnant or extreme weightloss.
