If you are interested in learning and sharing your art with other artists. I recommend the art forum Wet Canvas--it's free to join and they have all types of mediums covered from oil painting to drawing to color theory--you can post your own work and ask for advice from amateur artists as well as professional...it's great!!

To display your own work or to buy? To display your own work, a lot of my friends use deviantart.com. LOADS of people, internationally, post their work on their and talk with one another about art, etc. etc. Not sure if there is a fee to sign up or not. But it gets you exposure.
