I started my period when I was 12. I had my period just last week and now it's back again. Should I be worried?

Janan, I am anemic anyway. And I flow really heavy. Is that bad?

At your age, irregular periods is very normal. Your body is still in puberty, so it isn't totally regulated yet. Your hormones are all over the place right now is the main reason why. Most girls/women don't have totally regular periods until their late teens or early 20s. If you are really concerned, tho, ask your mom to make a doctor's appointment for you for your peace of mind.

no worries I am 23 and started my period when I was 13 if it becomes a problem ask your mom to take you to the doctor to get on birth control to help regulate your periods it also helps with cramps and acne. I started on birth control to regulate my periods when I was 14 and was a virgin until I was 17 so tell your mom the reason why and don't think that that means you can be sexually active! Just take it to control your cycle.

the irregularity of your periods is normal for your age and is not worrisome. What is worrisome is risk of getting anemic because of too much bleeding. So see your doctor and they can either regulate your period by medication or at least give you iron supplements.

No- its normal. At that age you are still going through so many changes. If it happens all the time I would be concerned... but if this is the first time that it has happened that close together I wouldn't worry about it

It can take years for your period to regulate itself. Don't worry. Ask your mom to stop by your local health and/or women's clinic to pick you up some pamphlets on menstration and your changing body. That should answer many of your questions.

It's absolutely normal to take a couple of years for your cycle to become regular. Indeed, some perfectly healthy, normal women never have reliably regular cycles.

i would see the doctor. irregularity in young girls is not uncommon, but to be on the safe side see the doctor. if nothing else he can put you on birth control pills to try to regulate your cycle.
