And I answer Yes eventhough my GPA is 2.94.. would that result in being turned down at the interview? I mean, it rounds up to 3.0

This is for a job application, not school.

Leave it blank. If they are interested, they'll call you back and you can explain that you have a 2.94 - almost a 3.0, and only because you took difficult classes (or some other legit reason). If they don't call back, they probably wouldn't call even if you had the 3.0

I think it is a bad idea. If the information comes out, it is an offense that can result in your termination. Much better to write in the margin the actual number next to your "no" response. It also reflects poorly on you - what else might you have bent the rules on? 2.94 is close, but is not a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Honesty will work out better in the long run.

I don't think that it would matter because your just .06 away from the 3.0, but in today's computer world they can check on it. If they request a background check on you they probably will research this and even if it's just .06 from the 3.0, they may look at this as a view into your honesty and integrity and question it, even though it doesn't seem like much.
Good luck...if it's a job you want I hope that you get it!!

They may consider it a lie after all it is. If they did not want some one with a 3.0 the would not of asked. Good luck with the interview.

Answer it honestly. It's better to take your chances with the 2.94 than a lie. If you get caught with the lie then they will definately be less likely to hire you or terminate after employment. .06 is not very significant at all.

They'll check it. Do you think they want to hire a liar?

Go ahead and show 2.94.

Don't leave it blank. They'll dismiss your app outright.
