i never got that either, i mean i ask my friends @ skool, and some of them say becuz it sux. but i think it is awsome

because radio dont play them. People get to like things only when they hear a lot about it. that's why theres the payola system where record companies and/or talent managers pay radio stations to play their songs to get into the conciousness of the people. In the 60's and 70's, country songs were very dominant even up to the early 80s. Starting the 90s, its been all rap but country is slowly getting back, just look at the lower portions of the music charts. People are buying music of country artists but radio is not yet up to it.

There are different types of country music. There is modern country music which is sort of a crossover to pop music. To me this isn't country music.
I prefer older country music such as that by Doc Watson or Hank Williams or Ernest Tubb or Jimmy Rogers or the Carter Family.

i like SOME country singers like Carie Underwood and Martina McBride and i can't think of any more right now but i like it.....
