Before, then blend, blend, blend. Then apply your foundation and blend with a sponge. I hate seeing raccoon eyes, and lines of color. She should strive for a natural look, and she will look younger. I hope she is using a shade close to her skin color and foundation, it should just be a few steps lighter.

There are actually both answers that have been given I see. Every person is going to say something different. However from experience and many many make-up reps from Mary Kay to Clinique to Perscriptives and Bobby Brown say to put it on before.

Concealers, if they are good, should be lighter in color and be able to be blended into the foundation. If you have a good foundation it should blend easily. If you get a concealer that is dry that is not good as it will cake and dry out the eyes and neither you want to do. You want the eyes to be moisturized. If you put the concealer above the foundation it makes the eyes stand out and not in a good way as the foundations job is to give the face an all around even look to the color and surface to your face and this cannot be accomplished when taking the concealer of a different shade and putting it on top of it.

I wear makeup every day and I have tried both. I prefer using concealer BEFORE applying foundation. Concealer is heavier than the average foundation, in order to cover and conceal any flaws. Due to its weight, it is important to blend well. I have found using your finger is best because your finger is warm and well help the concealer cream and blend more easily. Once applied, many people who have fairly good skin (little flaws) use a press powder. Your friend could continue her routine as normal. Hope this helps.

The concealer should always be used first to hide any blemishes or marks on the skin and then the foundation to blend in the concealer.

hope this helps

My Lancome representative says before. Concealer is usually a lighter color than your foundation and if you put it on after, you might not have a blended look.

Before, concealer covers up a blemish, and then foundation smoothes the colors, so all of your skin looks the same color.
