It gets so repetitive, and after a while, just annoying. You get gay people saying yes and straight people saying no; it's not always the case but you know what I mean. Anyways, I have though of a better way to ask that stupid question.
If you are gay, were you born gay?
If you are straight, were you born straight?
BTW, I am gay and was born that way.

OMFG!!!!
I do not want to hear a freakin debate. I know the sides; you are or you aren't. All I asked is if you were born with your sexual orientation or not. And use some common sense, as I know very well that you aren't sexually attracted to people when you are born. NO ****** DUH! All I want is answers, yes or no. I don't want to see anymore straight people comin in here sayin "I don't think gay people are born gay" or "No, because it's unnatural, it's supposed to be male and female" because if you look, you'll see I didn't ask what you think. It's a yes or no question. Put comments with them, I don't care, but at least freakin answer the question.

I am straight and I was born this way.
You are gay and I know you were born that way. Cheers!
(Here's a bit of scientific proof for the naysayers)
The sexual area of a gay man's brain works a lot like that of a woman when exposed to a particular stimulus, researchers say.
In an experiment, men and heterosexual women sniffed a chemical from the male hormone testosterone. The homosexual men's brains responded differently from those of heterosexual males, and in a similar way to the women's brains.

I think people who don't understand or accept gays want to believe that we are all born straight and something went horribly wrong! This way they can lie to themselves and convince themselves that gays can be "cured," or that someone else (usually the mother) is the cause of their gayness. I mean, I'm totally sure that we are born gay or straight or transgendered or bisexual... it's not a choice we make at some point.
Me, I was born mostly straight, I guess, but I tried making out with other girls in my just to be sure. It was fun but when it came time to settle down, I married a really hot blond truck driver and don't fool around with guys OR girls anymore. Hope that helps...

You aren't born gay. Who the hell has a sexual prefrence at birth. Also every kid is more attracted to people of the same sex. It isn't sexual, the other sex just has "cooties." Personally I think the repition is the same old rule of all propganda. Tell a lie long enough and it becomes the truth. If it was the arguement it was a chemical imbalance then that I may believe. The problem with gay people admitting that is that they have to admit that it isn't natural as they like to say.

Yes I am most definately tired of it.
However for the record I am gay and I was not born this way.
Surprised at my answer? Well no more than pedophiles are born that way or any other sexual disorder.
There are people who get off at the site of dead bodies. Are they born that way too?
Didnt think so. We have to draw a line somewhere and I think having sexual feelings for you own sex is crossing that line. And we are not born this way, it is nurture not nature.
Thats why people who are molested usually molest others. The sin is passed like a virus.

I don't even understand what's the difference is anyway? So, my daughter is bi., so I don't know what that means, was someone born that way. People are born babies, thats it. Sexuality comes after puberty, half her friends are gay, some are bi, some are straight, and thats it. It is so annoying, people have to get over it, and if someone has an opinion, either way, they should keep it to themselves unless their asked. The question 'Are people born gay' has no meaning. That's like asking the same people if they were born ignorant.

sorry to hear that... i think it is a choice and that you are not really born that way... but i guess everyone has a difference of opinion ...i think of the words in the bible and i know that sodom and gomorrah was destroyed cause there was so much sin in the world.. the way you live is not the will of god...i hope you rethink your way of life and ask god to forgive you and try to get your life going in the right direction....i would say more but i really do not want to upset anyone.. and i have met some gay people that are real nice but i just know the bible and i believe it is so wrong....

You would think that when you go to ask a question and it tells you the list of similar questions that a verbatim query would stop them from wasting their points, but it doesn't. For the most part, people must feel that they will get new answers instead of all us getting out our nice rainbow soapboxes and all of them getting out their big untolerating bullhorns, but that is not a question you ask to recieve an answer, it is just to recieve validation of pre-formed notions.

We (gay people) need to raise babies to be doctor's, lawyers, scientists, politicians, real estate agents, oil tycoons, and of course singers and dancers so this question will never be asked again.
So, with the above said.....give it 40 years.
