You actually can hum to rap music, and I just think that you are used to a certain type of music and do not want to adapt. And that it fine, however you shouldn't try take rap out of the music catagory.

Rap is music. I figure just about everything that involves instruments is music. I guess thats why they call Ashlee Simpson and Britney Spears music. I think rap is just too fast to hum.

You can hum the melody. Rap is constantly ignored as an art. People should not be so nasty as to trash other peoples artistic ventures

Why wouldn't it be music? You can't really classify something as "not being music". And you can hum it lol.

lol..u can hum rap songs? why not? lol...i personally love rap and think its great for shaking your booty and cruising around the more bass the better! lol..yes rap is music they play it on the radio and mtv (music television)

I find it hard to hum acid jazz or punk for that matter - besides you can dance to it so it must be music...
