It's only a matter of time. Interest and talent in soccer are sky-rocketing here.
But that's for the Men's national team. Keep in mind that our women's national team has made it to the Women's World Cup, and Canada is hosting the 2007 Under-20 Men's World Cup (in 6 cities across Canada).

When the government decides to do what every other Soccer country in the world does and that's help support the sport on a national level. Soccer is the #1 recreational sport played in Canada yet we are obssed with Hockey!? Once we have the drive and will power to succed in the sport then we will. It takes determination and we are far from being determined to make it on a the global scale. we seem to like our little invisibility cloak.

It depends on when Canada starts playing quality teams on Canadian soil. Canada also needs a coaching staff with experience in world play.

How can it be a "world" cup if Canada is not in it?

probably not in a long time because america is really bad in soccer. because they lost 3 zero in the one game. america has more people = more oppurtunity for winning, but they are really bad at it anyways. too cold in canada to play soccer, also the number one sport offically is not soccer.
