Obviously U2. I love Coldplay too, but I mean you can tell they were strongly influenced by U2. And U2 has much more experience and have experimented a lot through out their carreer. Coldplay has a long way to go b4 they become anything like U2.

Its hard to tell, I respect U2 a lot as a band, but I think Coldplay is a little more relevent to the younger crowd who hasn't heard U2 transition. I like them both a lot but I must say "Rush of Blood to the Head" is about as perfect of an album you can get, love every song.

U2 is definitely better than Coldplay. No offense, but I think that the singer in Coldplay sounds like he's yawning during every song. Its kinda weird. Plus, U2 has a lot of great classics, and have proved themselves because of there popularity through the 80's, 90's, and the 00's (is that what its called?)

I think there's simply no comparison. U2 is a very, very good band and Coldplay is one of the most boring, sleep-inducing bands out there. I'll have to go with U2

Definitely U2, I love Coldplay too, but they have a long way to go. U2 has done almost everrything in music, they're an icon. Coldplay is relatively just starting.

u2 has a long history...they are now rock legends...
on the other hand, coldplay is good, but they have only been around for 5 years, versus 25 years for U2

They are in two different leagues -- U2 is a supergroup, coldplay will have to be around a few more years to grow into U2's shoes.

U2. Especially the song Sunday, Bloody Sunday.
