not particularly fresh or new, but yes, Gays should be able to legally marry.

I don't like the way you phrased this question, but I'm answering it anyway.
It's not about succeeding or failing. The way a marriage turns depends on the people who are in it-gay, straight, or otherwise instructed-not because of what they are.
I myself was almost married, and it was all wrong, and for all the wrong reasons, and now I see the error in my judgment. However, if and when the day comes when I feel that connection again with someone, I want it to be a surety for me. A lot of people say that gay people shouldn't get married but look at what's going on with straight marriages. I know so many people that get married, and then are getting divorced 4 months later (mainly military people, I'm not saying all military people do it, but I live in a military state and this is what I see happen)
So, yes I think we should have the right to marry who we love, but not to fail. No one gets married to see it fail, and those who do shouldn't have made the commitment in the first place.

Good question :) There's no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to get married. But why would they want to? The national divorce rate is getting close to 50% for all marraiges (thanks to Hollywood). Would you take a medicine if it only had a 50% chance of working? As far as I'm concerned, let the gay community have marraige if it makes them feel better, because I know I don't want it :)

Indeed. The potential to fail is there, but why bother getting married? There is no way for the two individuals to procreate. Let them do it after they adopt a child. Any other reason to marry is simply for economic reasons.

I agree with you 100%.
But I think it'll be interesting 20 years from now to see who's having more divorces--gays or straights.

Well most people consider it immoral(I'm one of them)
I guess if you wanted to fail miserably and feel unconfident about yourself, you could. good luck with that..............
