The dust enters the throat and sinuses. The coughing and sneezing expell the dust from the body. Breathing gets back to normal once airways are clear again.

cuz it enters through ur nose and mouth and they dont like it and they make u sneeze and cough to get it out of ur system...its basically saying hey im not swallowing dirt.
