Choice is an illusion only if you put youself there, depending on the situation. For example, if you want to make the first choice of not following your head, and make a mistake, you will have no other choice in life but to live and "sleep on the bed" you have created for yourself. Life is full of choices, even if you feel like some things will just happen in life, regardless of what you would have chosen, you still have the choice to make the best out of a bad situation, or just be miserable. Life is about choices... so be wise and make the right ones.

Choice is ultimately a desire, desires are thoughts formed by electrical impulses in the brain by way of the subconscious mind. You didn't author those thoughts, your the observer (some call it soul or spirit) recognizing those thoughts that appear into your awareness. So yes, choice is an illusion as is free will, you simply just "are".
Limit your desires of this material world to as basic as you can comfortably live (VERY basic). You see such basic existences throughout nature. You see it in a lake, tree, flower, ect... They need what you need, water, sunlight, minerals, and (love). The love they enjoy is the same love we all seek, however only humans seek to fulfill love by external means by way of manipulation (marketing, tv, peers, doubt, misunderstanding).
If you choose to live close to this basic way as you see in nature, you'll have less choices to make, which will ultimately limit disappointments, longings, cravings, unfulfillments, desires, sexual fantasies, and any other sort of abstract thoughts that your subconscious has constructed to manipulate such illusionary (non physical) desires...or choices :).
Eventually, you'll notice that there is only one choice, and thats to exist....but really, you never had that choice either. You've always existed and always will exist. Time and energy can not be reversed so the energy inside of you can never be extinguished.
Second law of thermodynamics states that energy can never be created or destroyed, it just "is" by the mere construct of the space/time continuum we inhabit
"Time" is also a man made construct for his desire to create a beginning and an endpoint in his brain as the brain can not understand infinity....this is because the brain and YOUR THOUGHTS also have a beginning and an endpoint.
Meditate deeply and see what you really are, there you will find the truth. The truth isn't external of the self, it never has been. You want the truth? Look within.

Even choosing not to make a choice is a choice.
The study of quantum physics indicates that the observed and the observer are in relationship to each other.
Where you choose to place your attention and intention is the matter whose energy will be activated.
This is exciting stuff and can be experienced by us in ordinary situations. The universe is benign. The agenda is simply to be. The dynamics are cyclical... generating and regenerating... notice the daily and seasonal cycles, circling around and around.
Each of us knows for sure we have a brief amount of time to live on this planet. Even if we live to be 100 years old, that is brief in the larger scope of things. So the question is exactly HOW do we want to spend this most precious life that we have now. Each and ever breath we take is a reminder of this amazing gift. The gift of the opportunity to experience all that this life has to offer. Why would we want to waste time on anything other than grateful celebration?

I believe life is 1% what happens, and 99% how you react to it.
I don't believe in destiny. The choices you make will lead you to how you end up, so if there is a destiny, 99% of how things will end is in your hands.

Absolutely! It is our choices that determine our destiny, and you are lucky to have the foresight to understand this concept.
I've been an advocate of this theory for a few years now ... I only wish I had this knowledge when I was younger!!

We have will and make the choices. The choices can be good or bad. But destinty to me is something that can happen, but by chance. I'd rather will to make choices, than wait on destiny.
