I'm a Mets fan and am excited about their season.

I remember when Shea was the newest stadium in baseball (1964). We liked the decorative panels, the bright colors (orange and blue mostly, the Mets' colors, though the box seats were yellow and the upper deck light green), the long escalators and above all the roominess. Yankee Stadium had not been renovated to remove the obstructing pillars yet. I was even able to tread the "sacred" turf that magical 1969 season with my entry in the Banner Day contest. We didn't talk about "nosebleed" seats then, we just plunked down our $1.30 and had fun. Alas, I've not been back since 1970 when I moved, but last year the Mets turned up in Seattle for the first time ever and I drove down to watch them at Safeco Field, a very slick place. Predictably, the Mets dropped all three games. But I had my Mets banner: "Tom Seaver says, 'I'm glad I never pitched to Ichiro!' Let's go Mets and Mariners!"

Yes. That's where I like to go see the Mets beat the Yankees in the Subway Series each year. The Pepsi t-shirt launch is cool and so is Mr. Met. And Shea has better sausage and peppers at their concession than the Yankees.

yes i have been there at least 15 times and im just 16 years old. i live in nj but i go yearly many times. the hot dogs definitely are the best part (besides watching the game). they have a lot of interesting things to do while on commercial, such as the cheering car race and the pepsi tshirt launch. i've sat everywhere from the second row on the first base side to all the way up in the upper deck in left field. anywhere is a great seat!

I think I've been there three-four times in my life, the most recent of which was a 5-4 loss to the Yankees on May 20th of this year where Wagner blew a 4-0 lead in the 9th.

Yes, but I've only ever sat in the mezzanine. To root for the Mets is to root for the under dog. To root for the Yankees is to cheer on a lot of over paid egos.
