Someone i know tried to convince me that it wasent, i showed him a map, it was flat. its hard to see through the smoke but you can see the map is not loke a ball shape world like the rokets came to.
cam you help me expln this to my "not so smrt frend"

I think the world is round. Have you been outside of your room even? If the world was flat, you would be flooded, he he. Why are there mountains if the world is flat? Really you can't even answer my question? Try going to the library and actually do some research. Gotta go. Rock.

If you need visual proof, go to the shore and watch a ship disappear below the horizon. If the earth was indeed flat, the ship would just shrink in size until it disappears. By the way, search on "flat earth society". There are a number of organizations looking for new members.

The world is not flat. Try looking at a globe. Maps are flat because they are on flat paper.

the earth appears flat because of relative size and maps are flat for demonstrative purposes , try flattening an orange next to a pea with a pin head mark on it

the earths no flat.if it was flat it wouldn't have gravity..because it wouldn't have a core....plus you'd probally fall off the edge travaling!
