I'm not a liberal, obviously. (There but for the grace of God go I), but there's one thing I remember the most about Jimmy Carter that you neglected to mention. It's had a longer lasting effect that anything else that idiot did. And as a resident of FL, I am shocked that you overlooked it-

THOSE F*CKING MURIEL BOATLIFTS!!!! Thanks a lot, you stupid cracker!!!

In the first place, the SOVIET UNION, invaded AFGANISTAN. Must be a lot of Rumsfeld wishful thinking going around. (Ah, isn't war grand!)

Jimmy Carter does not have any of the great milestones like the great moments of glorious Repulicans Presidents of the last 50 years to be proud of and crow about.

Unlike Nixon:

He didn't have any secret plans during election. Nixon had a secrect plan to end the Vietnam War, (a gift from president Eisenhower), of which the secret was, there was no plan to end the war. Lies.

He didn't authorize a criminal conspiracy, and then try to cover it up.

He wasn't a paranoid freak.

Didn't have a crook friend Bebe Rabozo.

He didn't generate the greatest recession since the depression.

He didn't HAVE to resign the presidency.

Unlike Ford

He did something besides pardon Nixon, fall down and bust his head on stuff.

Unlike Reagan, (and in no particular order):

Had better credentials than those of being a B movie star.

Didn't run a States economy into the ground.

Didn't rat out his friends to save his own skin.

did not start the country onto the path of plutocracy in that the rich aren't rich enough, and the poor not poor enough. Certianly refined by Bush II.

He didn't arm Sadam Hussein

He didn't arm Iran on a 3 way deal that was illegal, immoral and led to the death of thousands.

He didn't "forget" about what he had done and hang his henchmen out to dry.

He didn't cut a deal that comes due next year for tax cuts that are going to be staggering to the economy. The 25 year debit to children tax cut.

Jimmy knew that he had been president at the end of his term.

Unlike Bush I

Didn't puke all over another world leader.

Didn't kill all funding for alternative power, including fusion reaction. The oil lackey; just like his kid.

Didn't start an oil war. Like father, like son!

Didn't set the precedent that abducting another contries leader is OK.

Wasn't friend to every arms manufaturer and oil man out to stiff the public.

Also, had about a 3% popularity rating.

Bush II

Gosh, this guys misteps would take an encyclopedia to address.

Great friends like Jack Abramoff, Ken Lay, Jeff Skilling and everybody in the oil cartels to name but a few.

Oh yes, for the goose stepping, can't come to a conclusion without a stoned Mr. "Hillbilly Heroin" Rush telling you what it is, liberty trashing, two faced murderers of the innocent, have just oh so much to be proud of from such great Fuerer's.

Just keep blindly following on and never question.

Which of these is your proudest moment?

Paa..lee..zeee.....

He was honest, what proud moments are you proud of for George Bush, he isn't even honest. Hell, this rant is so full of errors, he give up the panama canal because the 99 year lease was up. He boycotted the Olympics because the Soviets invade Afghanistan not Iran. The oil for food was during the First crooked Bush administration. you are an idiot.

Reminds me of Bush, only he wanted American ports to be controlled by an Arab nation. Carter was right about consuming less. Americans are perhaps the most overweight people in the world. And if you really like watching polls, watch them a year from new and see how the neo's are doing. By that time your favorite might just be in the dustbin of history.

He has done more for the good of the world as an ex president than any other ex president and most republicans while they were in office, included. He is a great HUMAN BEING. Something that republicans will never understand. He never took illegal actions, such as starting a war, phone tapping, etc, like Bushy. Notice that you can't spell BULLSH** without BUSH!

I wasn't old enough to remember Carter though his work with the Carter Center and his Nobel prize are much to be proud of. I've had the honor of meeting him, he's a very wonderful human being.

I'd LOVE to know that one myself! You'll note that Carter is rarely cited today, but Bill Clinton gets a regular airing...
