what is the name of the moth?

we have seen this moth before and caught it. may not be a moth. not sure what it is called.

girls have feathered backs but the male moth had all feathered wings.

it is not a moth. They don't have feathers. you may be seeing hummingbirds. the male is very colorful, the female is usuallly pale greyish brownish.. they will light on certain women, but usually stear clear of men. A woman i know cannot go out side without attracting several of them..
