I am a lesbian, and have been all my life. I tried to be straight-for parents sake, other friends who really weren't my friends, etc, etc, etc-to no avail. I've dated, gotten engaged, been pregnant, all to realize it just doesn't work for me. I can't help who I am, and that's not what I'm asking. My question is why is it that so many men (not all, it isn't all, but a vast majority) tend to ask me "can they taste the rainbow?" or tell me I haven't had sex with a real man yet that's why I like women, or various other moronic comments like that. Or some women who come at me and feel the need to tell that the only reason I'm gay is because I'm ugly and can't get a man, or I'm bitter, blah, blah, blah. None of this is the case at all.
I don't claim to know anyone else and their reasons for doing anything, why do so many people claim to know mine and judge me?
Thanks.

I think because you know what you want and know how you feel people get threatened by that. Some people always tend to project their feelings too strong on others thinking they're living their life the "right" way. There is no right way to live and the only thing you need to know is that you're happy with the decisions you have made. I think it really doesn't matter what other people may feel about the way you choose to live. With all the things you've been thru, I think you have every right to make that decision because you have tried other options. Personally, I do not approve of it, but I am not one to judge. I think you're family and friends need to do the same. If you really need to have their acceptance of your life choices, I feel you should talk to them and tell them how you feel and let them know they're not helping you just hurting you.
