gamecube i have ps2, xbox, and gamecube. and its the only one that i still play

All Consoles are good and it is merely for preference. If I were you I would wait till the next reincarnation of the consoles. It is said that the Nintendo Wii will be able to connect with Gamecube Controllers and play Gamecube games so you can wait on the Gamecube.
For the X-box, only so many games have been ported for the X-box 360 so you might find a cheap X-box if there are unsupported games that you want.
For PS2 I'm not sure but it might be able to play older ps2 games though I am unsure on it.

Everyone should wait until PLaystation 3 comes out because they are introducing sum pretty inovative technology and a console that won't dissapoint. Not to mention a great line up of games as usual and their new controller that remedies similar to the new nintendo Wii controller where one can just move the controller upward to make a character to jump and swing the controller to swing a raquet in a tennis or ping pong game. It will be the best system out there by far....

well, as a console it's the Xbox 360, but nothing beats a great PC.
the PS3 is almost TOO innovative. all you're paying for is Blu-Ray, which is kind of pointless if you don't have a 1080p tv anyway. i am way happy with my 360, projector, and dolby digital 7.1 surround sound system. get a 360, not a ps3.

360 is still buggy and i'm not switching to x-box just because they bought a contract with square-enix to do two final fantasy games, just because the x-box isn't doing very well in japan.
gamecube for me cuz i like the kid type games and rpgs. some games are really good and are derived from classics. ^^

Well if we are talking about resolution it is PS2 but XBox 360 is a nice tool cause it doesn't use any Cd's so there is no fear of scratching Cd's .

It just depends. X Box has BETTER graphics, Gamecube is more for people who just play to get away from life xP and PS2 has ALOT of games =P

Xbox 360 has too many bugs in it still, I pick Xbox. (where else can I play fuzion frenzy!?)
