I took 3 teaspoons of Castor Oil around 3:30 this afternoon... no bowel movement. At 5:30 i took 1 Tablespoon... still nothing. How much am i supposed to take? Should i take more? Im trying to get labor going. Thank ya'll :)

I used castor oil to go into labor - TWICE! I took 1/8 cup (2 tablespoons) mixed with 1/2 cup orange juice then two hours later did it again. You will have serious bowl movements which will irritate the uterus and start labor (if your body is ready). Labor started about 4 hours after taking the first dose.

sometimes castor works sometimes it dont and will make you sick as a dog, sex may help, but for me it didn't. Walk up and down a flight of stairs over and over and over again. Like a hundred times a day. Nothing is going to happen right then overnight, truth of the matter is, that baby is going to come when he's ready. sometimes when the doctor checks for dialation at your full term vistits, him poking around will open you up and start things going. That happened with me. Ultimatly God determines that baby's bday. However I know how you feel, nine months, hot and ready to own you own body!

Castor Oil in large doses can be toxic, and should never be taken by pregnant or nursing women. Other things that you might want to try are walking a bit, but that didn't work for me. What did work was making plans for dinner with my hubby... jsut before we were supposed to leave to have our last intimate dinner before our son arrived, and my water broke.

good hard sex or walking at a kindda fast pace.
i have heard of castor oil worked on a few people. if it dont hurt the baby take more. lol but the baby will come when its ready

no don't take anymore. it'll give you the runs. sex, scrub floor, bumby ride. Sometimes it can take up to 8 hrs for the castrol oil to work

As a mother of 3 please stop!! I tried it with my first one, made me sick as a dog and no labor. My advice is walk you butt like crazy. Sex can really help too.
