When I was 16 and my brother was 14, I drove my parents car up an old logging road at night and I got the car stuck and we couldn't get it out. It was pitch black out and we had to walk several miles back down the road, right past the garbage dump that was always full of bears at night, and home. We had our dog with us, a small cocker spaniel, so not really any protection. It took us several hours and that was the most scared I have ever been as we couldn't see our hands in front of our faces, yet we knew there were many bears in the dump.

I was at the very end of my 3rd pregnancy and had my mother and grandmother down visiting. My grandmother is in her 80's and doesn't remember alot anymore. My mother had prepacked all of my grandmothers medicine and it was put up but unknown to my mother or myself my grandmother packed some of her medicine to. My mom takes my 2 yr old son upstairs and turns around for 5 minutes and my son ate 3 pills of my grandmothers medicine. At the time I was living 20 minutes outside of town. So we called 911 and my 2yr old son and his father go to the hospital in the ambulance. I followed behind with my mother who just had to drive 10 mph under the speed limit and the whole time I was screaming on the inside. I couldn't talk, nothing. I was beyond scared. Lucky for my son he just so happened to eat 3 pills of some kind of allergy medicine. That day I also went into labor! That was the worst feeling in the world and I hope to never have to grow through that kind of fear again in my life. My son was fine and had no complications from eating the meds. He is a healthy normal 4 year old boy today.

This is an absolutely true story. When I was 16 we moved to an older house in the country. A couple months later, one night I was sleeping and I suddenly woke up. I felt like someone was pushing on the end of the bed.shaking it. I thought i was dreaming and went back to sleep. a few nights later i woke up in the night again and felt my sheets being pulled.this happened a few more times that week. I had also felt a presence in my room when the events happened. I was so scared i went and slept in the living room. The next day I went to my nanas and papas to spend a week visiting her, Like I always did each summer. I didnt tell my parents or sisters about what happened because i thought i was dreaming or just crazy lol. While I was gone my sisters had some friends over for a sleepover party. When I got back from my nanas and papas, my sisters told me that they had gone to my room to borrow some cd's for the sleepover and that the lights kept flickering on and off. as well they said they had felt a man standing in the corner of my room near my closet. they supposedly got so scared that they ran to their room in the basement and didnt go back into my room until I got back. When they told me I couldnt believe it as I hadnt told them what had happened. So i knew that this had happened to them and that they werent trying to scare me. I then told them what had happened to me the week before, and we were so scared that we had my mom go and get holy water from a church. she sprinkled it around my room the next day and I never felt anything again. Was the scariest thing that ever happened to me.

Watching my son, who was 1 1/2 at the time, seemingly die in my arms during a seizure brought on by a fever. He wasn't breathing, he was turning blue. My husband did CPR and got him breathing again. I was told this is normal during a seizure, but I can't see how any parent could stand there and watch that happen and not try to help. It was horrifying. He's been fine ever since, but it was a wakeup for me, and my INability to handle a stressful situation.

I live in a haunted house and one day i was really tired so i went to go lay down and go to sleep well after a while i got this weird felling so i opened my eyes and there was a woman leaning over me and she smiled at me and disappeared after that.....needless to say it took a month b4 i even went in there again. Also every night(2:30-3:30 a.m) while my mom is sleeping a man watches her and my dad sleep....my mom grew up in a haunted house too so they dont scare her as much as they do me.

Being told I had breast cancer. The fear it generated was as if I had boiling hot oil on me and all I wanted to do was get it off me! I actually thought it was a death sentence but I was wrong. I lost a breast (big deal; a piece of skin) and I've been cancer free for 16 years. The word "Cancer" is scarey enough without being told it was in my body.
