Is it safe to buy from Amazon?

The main thing on either site is to buy only from sellers with a good reputation. Check out the comments left by prior buyers (I usually look specificially for the negative comments) and see if there are any show-stopping problems with that seller. If there are, look for another seller. There are a hundred sellers for anything you could ever possibly want.

Amazon is a pretty safe site to buy from, but it's not an auction site like Ebay.
Amazon is like an online super store I guess...where Ebay is like a massive auction house where you can buy new and used things for possibly cheaper than Amazon but it runs a little more risk but I'd say that overall, if you know Ebay well enough with people's feedback ratings, both of them are pretty safe to use.

The amazon marketplace is kinda like ebay. I've bought lots of things from amazon with no problems.

It is like ebay but you can buy things directly form the company. Ebay is better.

Yes, it is safe. You are protected. it is very much like ebay.
Make sure the person yopu buy from has somewhat of a reputation before buying anything though.

it's very safe
you mostly buy entertainment stuff from them
like books movies and cd's it's even safer than eBay
