When I've used "oil-water separators", they can have pure gasoline sitting in them for years on end. They use an epoxy paint that undergoes a chemical reaction as you apply it.

I believe epoxy paints are also used on kitchen/laundry appliances. I know there are small containers of white epoxy paint for touch-up on appliances and it has held up very well for me in some very tough applications.

Marine supply stores will have epoxy and many other kinds of paint and will be pretty knowledgable about chemical resistence. www.westmarine.com might have some info on the website, they definitely have listings of stores you could go to.

There are aviation paints that are fuel resistant but BOY! they get expensive. Even more so than marine supplies.

im not aware of paint specifically formulated to resist gas exposure but there are marine paints that are as tough as they get or even aircraft paint, but after you see how much they cost you may not want to worry about it.
