Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission.

Depends on the product, but I have heard of people that visit chat rooms on line and talk up the product as if they were a consumer of that product and not the distributor. It worked well for them, approx. 50% of their business came from that advertising. And it didn't cost them anything.
