NO way! Gateways suck! I have one & I wish I'd never agreed to take over the pmts on it from my now deceased boyfriend. I recommend a Dell or HP. Less hassles, issues, memory problems, etc. My mom has an HP that's 6 years old & all she's ever done outside of routine maintenance with defrag & such is she upgraded the memory. Gateway cancelled my warranty when I refused to accept the one year free AOL offer. It was NOT part of the computer deal or payments. It was included inside the box as one of 2 special internet offers, the other one being from Earthlink. When I called Gateway, I went in circles with them over the AOL/Warranty issue. I was told they don't void warranties for not taking part of any internet offer, they do void warranties for this & back & forth. After 6 months of this, I bought the warranty for 2 years. Nothing went wrong until AFTER it expired & my monitor blew. Gateway said it was a manufacturing defect but because of my warranty/internet refusal, they were refusing to replace my monitor. 6 more months of lawyer calls & BBB calls finally got it replaced, only to have it blow out again. I replaced it with a monitor to my now deceased uncle's old Packard Bell & have upgraded my memory on this puter. Sorry to ramble on. Just avoid Gateway & get an HP or Dell.
