If you like to sew, purses and handbags. Also making quilts out of old materials is always interesting. Rag rugs, and even making baskets out of old clothing. Make sash belts by adding embellishments. Old prom dresses would be perfect for making jewelry bags, lots of material, and you could make several to give to friends or sell them and make a few bucks!
Sometimes there's enough material to make different things from the original pattern, take a dress and turn it into a pretty top, adding new materials and old. Using the material from different dresses (making sure the colors don't clash) and turn them into an outfit that would be totally original.
