I am sick of having to add a new link to each and everyone of my pages and so I want to swicth over to PHP, but have no experience in it none what-so-ever. I also want to go from a FreeWebs hosting to hosting on SilentCross.net and I don't understand FTP. I need great, easy to understand tutorials in those areas. I'd appreciate it if someone could give me links. I've tried w3schools and about.com. I need better and easier to understand.

Try the following articles:

1.) Introduction to the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) --by bleepingcomputers.com (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial46.html)

2.) Beginners PHP --by dmoz.com (http://www.beginnersphp.co.uk/)

Bleepingcomputer is a great site to learn about computer and technology. They have several tutorials for beginners as well as advance users.

http://www.webmonkey.com/ has great tutorials on loads of programming languages, including PHP. The PHP tutorials are under How-To Library>>>Programming on the right of the home page.

You can use Internet Explorer if you want to ftp files, just type the url ftp://yourwebhost I also use SmartFTP which is free to download.
